' PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2399 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING A GENERAL PLAN CHANGE FOR THE WEST SIDE OF PETERS AVENUE AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-83-9 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has applied to change the general plan land use designation for the tier of lots adjacent to the western right-of-way line of Peters Avenue between St. John Street and Bernal Avenue from "High Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices" or to any other designation deemed in the public interest; and WHEREAS, this matter was continued from the duly noticed public hearings of October 12, 1983 and November 9, 1983 to allow the Planning Commission to meet with the Park and Recreation Commission due to their desire to find a park in the area west of Peters Avenue; and WHEREAS, a joint meeting was held on November 21, 1983 at which testimony was received from all interested parties; and WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission explained their reasoning for wanting a park either at the southwest corner of Peters Avenue and Division Street or at the southwest corner of Peters and Rose Avenues; - and WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission has already recommended to the City Council that their first choice for a park would be Peters Avenue and Division Street with Peters Avenue and Rose being their second choice; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 28, 1983 the Planning Commission considered this subject in conjunction with case GP-83-9. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends the property described in case GP-83-9 be changed from High Density Residential to Commercial and Offices except for the parcel shown as "D" on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" which shall be designated Open Space Parks and Recreation. Section 2. Recommends that at the time rezoning is considered for this property, it is the intentiion of the Planning Commission that this property be rezoned "PUD-Office." Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
