PLANNING COMMISSION <br />- _ CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COP~MISSION RECOiAMENDING <br />DENIAL OF CASES GP-82-6 AND RZ-82-11 AS FILED BY THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton applied to amend the General Plan land <br />use designation of an approximately 8.8 acre site from High <br />Density Residential to Medium Density Residential and to <br />rezone an approximately 7 acre site from the "A" (Agricultural) <br />District to the R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District or <br />to any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan <br />for property located on the north side of Valley Avenue <br />approximately 850 feet west of the intersection of Santa Rita <br />Road and Valley Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of August 11, 1982 the <br />Planning Commission considered all pertinent documents and <br />public testimony concerning these two applications; and <br />WHEREAS, the two property owners regarding this site urged the Planning <br />Commission to deny these applications; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission previously determined that the abovementioned <br />property would be well suited for "High Density Residential" and <br />recommended that land use designation to the City Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COP1MISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends denial of cases GP-82-6 and RZ-82-11 because it is <br />the opinion of the Planning Commission that the subject property is <br />proper for High Density Residential because of its close proximity <br />to shopping, transportation, parks, library and other public <br />services. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br />passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton on the <br />11th day of August 1982 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson & Chairperson Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: August 11, 1982 <br />ATTEST: <br />- Robert J.
