PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />- COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2218 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE RZ-82-16, <br />THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to prezone an <br />approximately 78 acre site located at the northern <br />terminus of Martin Avenue and just south and across <br />the Arroyo Mocho Canal from the Pleasanton Meadows <br />area to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Low Density <br />Residential District or to any other district consistent <br />with the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 21 <br />1982 the Planning Commission received a proposed <br />negative declaration for case RZ-82-16; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated`September 14, 1982 and received <br />the. recommendation of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, at the duly noticed public hearing of September 21, 1982 <br />the public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed zoning change; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of <br />negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />that there would not be any significant impacts upon <br />the environment by approving the rezoning and recommended <br />adoption of the Negative Declaration prepared for this <br />case. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that based upon the <br />review of the Initial Study and the testimony and <br />documentary evidence presented at the public hearing <br />that there will be no significant adverse impacts on <br />the environment as a result of the rezoning of the <br />subject property. <br />Section 2. Recommends approval of the negative declaration <br />prepared for case RZ-82-16, the application of the City <br />of Pleasanton as described above. <br />
