PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON - COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2235 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COP~IMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMD4ENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT AS FILED UNDER GP-82-8 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to review the Draft revised Housing Element of the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton formulated pursuant to State Government Code Section 65583 and State Housing Element Guidelines; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the revised element is to evaluate existing and projected community housing needs and to offer a workable housing program to meet said needs; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 13, 1982 the Planning Commission received the proposed negative declaration for case GP-82-8; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study prepared and received the recomstendation of the staff; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on October 13, 1982 and the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed draft Housing Element; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated there would not be any potentially significant impacts upon the environment by approving the proposed draft Housing Element and the negative declaration for this case. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that based upon the review of the Initial Study and the testimony and documentary evidence presented at the public hearing that there would not be any significant adverse effects on the environment as a result of approval of the proposed draft Housing Element as filed under case GP-82-8.
