PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />- COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2235 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COP~IMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMD4ENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT <br />AS FILED UNDER GP-82-8 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to <br />review the Draft revised Housing Element of the General <br />Plan of the City of Pleasanton formulated pursuant <br />to State Government Code Section 65583 and State <br />Housing Element Guidelines; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the revised element is to evaluate <br />existing and projected community housing needs and to <br />offer a workable housing program to meet said needs; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 13, 1982 <br />the Planning Commission received the proposed negative <br />declaration for case GP-82-8; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed <br />the Initial Study prepared and received the recomstendation <br />of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on October 13, 1982 <br />and the public was given the opportunity to comment on <br />the environmental impacts of the proposed draft Housing <br />Element; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts <br />in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines <br />governing the preparation of negative declarations and <br />environmental impact reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />there would not be any potentially significant impacts upon <br />the environment by approving the proposed draft Housing <br />Element and the negative declaration for this case. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that based upon the <br />review of the Initial Study and the testimony and <br />documentary evidence presented at the public hearing that <br />there would not be any significant adverse effects on <br />the environment as a result of approval of the proposed <br />draft Housing Element as filed under case GP-82-8. <br />
