PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2237 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE <br />PUD-82-18-1D AS FILED BY DEVCON CONSTRUCTION, INC. <br />WHEREAS, Devcon Construction, Inc. has applied for development plan approval <br />for four light industrial/office buildings totalling 54,111 sq. <br />ft., and related facilities on a 3.7 acre site located on the <br />southeast side of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company <br />railroad tracks between Mohr Avenue and Trenery Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, current zoning of the property is I-P (Industrial Park) District <br />with a rezoning of the property in process to the PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development)-Industrial Park District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 27, 1982 the Planning <br />Commission received a proposed negative declaration for case <br />PUD-82-18-1D; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial <br />Study dated October 4, 1982 and received the recommendation of <br />the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held October 27, 1982 and the public <br />was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts <br />of the proposed development plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance <br />with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the <br />preparation of negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated there would not <br />be any significant impacts upon the environment by approving the <br />conditional use permit and Negative Declaration for this case. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES TAE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that based upon review of the Initial <br />Study and the testimony and documentary evidence presented at the public <br />hearing that there will be no significant adverse impacts upon the <br />environment as a result of the approval of the conditional use permit <br />for the subject property. <br />Section 2. Recommends approval of the negative declaration prepared for case <br />PUD-82-18-1D, application of Devcon Construction, Inc. for development <br />plan approval as described above. <br />
