ATTACHNYENT 2 <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES <br />THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this 19th day of June, 2007, by and <br />between the City of Livermore and the City of Pleasanton, both municipal corporations of <br />the State of California (collectively "Cities"), and Macro Corporation, A KEMA Company, a <br />Pennsylvania Corporation, ("Consultant"). <br />RECITALS <br />On October 9, 2006, Cities and Consultant entered into a professional services <br />agreement, for Consultant to provide City services to evaluate the 800 MHz trunked radio <br />communications system jointly used by Cities ("Agreement") for enhanced operations and <br />interconnectivity. The Agreement required Consultant to conduct a comprehensive <br />evaluation of existing equipment, usage, service levels, and costs of the radio <br />communications systems and determining regional opportunities to partner or join the <br />existing radio communications systems with other agencies. <br />On May 7, 2007, Consultant provided Cities with report entitled Preliminary Svstem <br />and Site Recommendations ("Report") describing alternative system designs to achieve the <br />Cities' goals. Cities desire Consultant to provide additional information concerning <br />alternatives not included in the Report. Cities are additionally requesting that Macro meet <br />their obligation outlined in the original Agreement to explore opportunities, including Cisco <br />IPICS, to provide the Cities the opportunity to be fully interoperable with the voice <br />communications system for Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. This task has not been <br />completed. The additional information is ident~ed in Consultant's proposal for the <br />additional services dated May 17, 2007, and attached hereto as Attachment 1. <br />Paragraph 14 of the Agreement allows the parties to modify the Agreement in a <br />writing signed by the parties to be charged. <br />AGREEMENT <br />NOW, THEREFORE, City and Consultant hereby agree that the aforementioned <br />recitals are true and correct and further agree as follows: <br />1. Section 2.5 is hereby added to the Agreement and Consultant agrees to <br />provide the following additional services subject to the terms and conditions of the <br />Agreement: <br />"Section 2.5 New Alternatives: Consultant shall prepare an addendum to <br />the Report describing and providing information on the following alternative <br />design systems to achieve Cities' goals: <br />New Alternative 1 - "Quick Fix" (replace/refurbish oldest system <br />components; reuse remaining) <br />New Alternative 2 - "Quick Fix Plus" with recommended coverage <br />
