- PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2245 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED <br />FOR CASE GP-82-9, MEADOW PLAZA ASSOCIATES <br />WHEREAS, Meadow Plaza Associates have applied to amend the General <br />Plan land use designation of all or any portion of the <br />approximately 8 acre site located south and east of <br />the Exxon Service Station at the southeast corner of <br />Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard from <br />Commercial and Offices to High Density Residential. <br />Said property abuts the rear of the lots located at the <br />west side of Weymouth Court; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated November 30, 1982 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the <br />public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposed development plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of mitigated <br />negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />that there may be significant impacts upon the <br />environment, but that conditions of approval would <br />render these potential impacts insignificant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of a Mitigated Negative Declaration <br />prepared for the proposed General Plan amendment covering <br />all of the approximately 8 acre site located south and east <br />of the Exxon Service Station at the southeast corner <br />of Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard from <br />Commercial and Offices to High Density Residential. <br />Section 2.Planning Commission finds that based upon the review of the <br />Initial Study, and the testimony and documentary evidence <br />~- presented at the public hearing that there may be <br />significant impacts on the environment, but that conditions <br />listed in proposed project approval would reduce the potential <br />adverse environmental impacts to an insignificant level. <br />
