PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 2246
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR MEADOW PLAZA
ASSOCIATES AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-82-9
WHEREAS, Meadow Plaza Associates have applied to amend the General
Plan land use designation of all or any portion of the
approximately 8 acre site located south and east of
Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard from
Commercial and Offices to High Density Residential. Said
property abuts the rear of the lots located at the west
side of Weymouth Court; and
WHEREAS, this matter was continued from a duly noticed Planning
Commission meeting of November 10, 1982 to allow the
applicant to further consider whether they wish to change
the land use designation of the entire 8 acre parcel which
they own southeast of the intersection of Santa Rita Road
and West Las Positas Boulevard and the case was readvertised
so that the entire parcel could be considered for a
general plan amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony
and related documents at their duly noticed public hearings
of November 10, 1982 and December 8, 1982 and recommended
approval of a mitigated negative declaration at their
December 6, 1982 hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further reviewed the staff's
recommendation that it would be appropriate to change the
general plan designation on either the originally requested
4-1/2 acre site or on the entire 8 acre parcel to High
Density Residential and further that in either case only
conditions 2 and 3 of the November 10, 1982 staff report
need to be attached as conditions of approvals to this
case.
NOW, THEREFORE', THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. Recommends approval of case GP-82-9, leaving the north-
western 2 acres "Commercial and Offices" and changing
the 5.8 acre balance of the property to "High Density
Residential," and that the conditions shown on Exhibit
"A" apply only to the "Commercial and Offices" portion.
Section 2. This resolution will become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
