CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-63 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF <br /> WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIMS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Workers <br /> Compensation Appeals Board two cases involving <br /> Steve Aracne and Joe DeTata; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's workers compensation claims <br /> administrator has requested authority from the City <br /> Council to settle these claims in amounts more <br /> fully discussed in the memorandum dated January 27, <br /> 1989 from the Director of Personnel to the City <br /> Attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such authority is reasonable and justified under <br /> the circumstances; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Attorney is authorized to settle the two <br /> above-mentioned cases in amounts not to exceed that <br /> requested by the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED FEBRUARY 7, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ',I/I,~/' <br /> <br />ATTEST: KENNETH R.
