With respect to diagonal parking, the Specific <br /> Plan remains the same with parallel parking on <br /> Main Street and an explanation of the reasons <br /> for not including diagonal parking along Main <br /> Street. <br /> <br /> D. The Specific Plan adds the followinq policy <br /> concerning Unreinforced Masonry Buildings: <br /> <br /> "Encourage preservation of unreinforced <br /> masonry structures which contribute to the <br /> historic character of Downtown, in keeping <br /> with the City rehabilitation programs required <br /> by SB 547." <br /> <br /> E. Although the Specific Plan eliminates parking <br /> structures from the list of public <br /> improvements, the following is added to the <br /> Plan's text: <br /> <br /> "At some time in the future, the City may <br /> investigate the addition of parking structures <br /> on selected midblock, surface parking lots." <br /> <br /> F.
