PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2173 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT PREPARED <br />AND FILED UNDER CASE PUD-81-30 FOR PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE <br />COMPANY OF AMERICA AND CALLAHAN-PENTZ PROPERTIES <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America and Callahan-Pentz <br />Properties have applied for Planned Unit Development <br />(PUD - Industrial/Commercial and Offices) zoning and <br />development plan approval of a 573 acre "business park" <br />to include approximately 16 net acres of "garden" offices, <br />62 net acres of general offices, 51 net acres of "midrise" <br />offices, 48 net acres of industrial warehousing, 282 net <br />acres of research and development/light manufacturing, and <br />39 net acres of retail/commercial/financial development <br />with the remaining approximately 75 acres to be used for <br />street and flood channel right-of-way purposes, to be <br />located on the east side of Hopyard Road between the <br />Arroyo Mocho and a point approximately 1400 feet south <br />of I-580 and extending east to the tracks of the Southern <br />Pacific Transportation Company; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 14, 1982 and May 19, 1982 the Planning Commission <br />held a public hearing regarding the Environmental Impact <br />Report prepared for this project and on May 19, 1982 they <br />also held a public hearing regarding the project to review <br />testimony, maps and reports and recommendation of approval <br />of the application for rezoning and development plan <br />approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:. <br />Section 1. Planning Commission finds that the Environmental Impact <br />Report prepared for the proposed project, Case PUD-81-30, <br />has been completed in compliance with. the California <br />Environmental Quality Act, and state and city guidelines. <br />Section 2. Planning Commission finds, after having reviewed and <br />considered the material in the Environmental Impact Report <br />that the Environmental Impact Report prepared is complete, <br />sufficient, and acceptable for the proposed project. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />-1- <br />
