PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2176 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE RZ-82-9, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to rezone the <br />lots on the east side of Main Street between <br />Abbie Street and the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />tracks from the "O/C-O" (Office-Civic Overlay) <br />District to the "C-C/C-O" (Central Commercial- <br />Civic Overlay) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of May 26, 1982 the Planning Commission <br />received a proposed negative declaration for case <br />RZ-82-9; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated May 26, 1982 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on May 26, 1982 <br />and the public was given the opportunity to comment <br />on the environmental impacts of the proposed zoning <br />change; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission .has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines .governing the preparation of negative <br />declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />that there would not be any significant impacts upon the <br />environment by approving the rezoning and recommended <br />adoption of the Negative Declaration prepared for this <br />case. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that based upon the review <br />of the Initial Study and the testimony and documentary <br />evidence presented at the public hearing that there will <br />be no significant adverse impacts on the environment as <br />a result of the rezoning of the subject property. <br />Section 2. Recommends approval of the negative declaration prepared <br />for case RZ-82-9, application of the City of Pleasanton <br />as described above. <br />
