PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2179 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON TO REZONE A 7.1 ACRE PARCEL AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE RZ-62-6 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to rezone approximately <br />7.1 acres of land located at the northern terminus of <br />Pleasanton Avenue from the C-S (Commercial Service) and <br />R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) Districts to the PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential Districts <br />or to any other zoning district consistent with the General <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, this matter was continued from a duly noticed public hearing <br />of 4/28/82 because of concern regarding the possible design <br />of St. John Street when it is closed due to the railroad <br />consolidation; and <br />WHEREAS, there are no plans available at the present time for the <br />closing of St. John Street with regard to the railroad <br />consolidation; and <br />WHEREAS, a negative declaration was approved (GP-80-5) when the <br />General Plan designation on the subject property was <br />changed from Medium Density Residential to High Density <br />Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential <br />District is in conformance with the General Plan of the <br />City of Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, at their continued public hearing of 6/24/82 the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony and comments <br />regarding this matter as well as the staff recommendation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends rezoning the approximately 7.1 acres of land <br />located at the northern terminus of Pleasanton Avenue from <br />the C-S (Commercial Service) arid'R-1-6500 (Single-family <br />Residential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br />High Density Residential District. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />/// <br />
