PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 2182
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING REZONING AS REQUESTED IN
CASE RZ-81-17
WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to prezone (Annexation
No. 91) an approximately 35 acres site located immediately
northwest of the intersection of Martin and Mohr Avenues
to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Low Density Resi-
dential District or to any other zoning district consistent
with the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 12, 1981
the Planning Commission recommended approval of case
RZ-81-17 recommending the subject property be prezoned
to R-1-20,000 District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council took no action on this prezoning because
the Planning Commission initiated a general plan amendment
on the eastern half of the Mohr/Martin area to change it
from Medium Density Residential to Low Density Residential;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the general plan amendment on
May 11, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the property owners asked that the rezoning be PUD-Low
Density Residential rather than R-1-20,000; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 24, 1982
the Planning Commission found that PUD-Low Density
Residential is in conformance with the General Plan Land
Use designation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony
concerning this application and felt that the minimum
lot size should be 20,000 sq. ft.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. Recommends prezoning of the approximately 35 acres
located immediately northwest of the intersection of
Martin and Mohr Avenues to the PUD (Planned Unit
Development)-Low Density Residential District but that
no lot shall be less than 20,000 sq. ft. in size within
this Planned Unit Development.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
///
