Item 6d <br />Staff Report <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />August 12, 1981 <br />SUBJECT: UP-81-17 <br />APPLICANT: Roy Gibson <br />PURPOSE: Application for a conditional use permit <br />to allow construction and operation of a <br />combination office/warehouse/storage <br />facility in an 11,200 sq. ft. building <br />proposed to be constructed on the east <br />side of Wyoming Street approximately <br />200 ft. north of the Del Valle Parkway. <br />The property is zoned C-S (Commercial <br />Service) District. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1, Exhibit A, Site Plan Elevations <br />and Landscape Plan <br />2 SdatedRB/13/81 the Design Review Board <br />Roy Gibson, owner of Central Petroleum maintenance Company, now <br />located on the Deetz property on St. John Street, has purchased <br />a 0.60 acre parcel of land on Wyoming Street from Frank Auf der Maur. <br />Mr. Gibson wishes to construct an 11,200 sq. ft. combination office/ <br />warehouse/storage building on the property and move his service <br />station maintenance and repair business onto the site. Such a use <br />requires a conditional use permit in the C-S District and Mr. Gibson, <br />therefore, is applying for a use permit. <br />Mr. Gibson's business consists of repairing service station and <br />garage equipment. He has a fleet of six to seven trucks which <br />leave daily at 8:00 to 9:00 in the morning and return at 4:00 to <br />4:30 in the afternoon. He has eleven employeeas i~lsdih~draulicf~ <br />Such service station and garage equipment as g P P <br />lifts, gas pump computers, gasoline hoses, nozzles, oil storage <br />tanks, etc. would be stored on the subject site. All of these <br />would be kept inside of the building as would all vehicles at <br />night. <br />Item 6a on the 8/13/81 Design Review Board agenda is the design <br />review application for the proposed building. The staff report <br />to the Design Review Board is attached hereto. Please refer to <br />that document for further details of the physical development <br />of the site. <br />
