CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-49 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br /> WORKS TO SIGN APPLICATION FOR STATE-LOCAL <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM <br /> FUNDS (SB 140) -NPID NO. 3 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Senate Bill 140, which was adopted by popular vote <br /> in June 1988, allocates $300,000,000 in State funds <br /> to identify and construct locally supported <br /> transportation projects that require a minimum of <br /> State planning and review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, local jurisdictions which desire to participate in <br /> this program are required to submit applications <br /> for these funds by June 30, 1989 and advertise the <br /> projects for construction by June 30, 1991; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the North Pleasanton Improvement District No. 3 <br /> 'interchange projects including Stoneridge Drive, <br /> Santa Rita Road and Hacienda Drive could all be <br /> eligible for matching funds; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Director of Public Works is authorized to <br /> sign the application for State-Local Transportation <br /> Demonstration Program Funds (SB 140) for NPID No. <br /> 3. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City of Pleasanton accepts full financial <br /> responsibility for the projects, and understands <br /> that no State commitment is made and the City is <br /> proceeding at its own risk. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
