PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CQUNTX Ok' ~,LAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2506 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THI{T AN ENVIRON- <br />MENTAL IMPACT REPORT BE PREPARED FC)R THE APPLICA- <br />TION OF CYNTHIA OSTLE FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-84-3 <br />WHEREAS, Cynthia Ostle has applied to amend the General <br />Plan Land Use Element designation of an approx- <br />imately 10,000 sq. ft. site from M~dium Density <br />Residential to Commercial and Offi es located at <br />1734 Santa Rita Road; and I <br />WHEREAS, the property is zoned R-1-6500 (Si~gle-family <br />.Residential) District; and ~ <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public heari~hg of August 8, 1984 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and r commendations of <br />the City staff, including the envi onmental impacts <br />of the proposed General Plan Chang`; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission felt that Fhere would be <br />a: significant environmental impact~on the surround- <br />ing areas should the General Plan a changed as <br />requested because of possible noisy; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further fo nd that approval <br />of this application would have a n gative effect <br />upon the environment in as much as it would create <br />a spot-zoning situation and theref re precedent <br />setting. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1.
