PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON CQUNTX Ok' ~,LAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2506 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THI{T AN ENVIRON- MENTAL IMPACT REPORT BE PREPARED FC)R THE APPLICA- TION OF CYNTHIA OSTLE FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-84-3 WHEREAS, Cynthia Ostle has applied to amend the General Plan Land Use Element designation of an approx- imately 10,000 sq. ft. site from M~dium Density Residential to Commercial and Offi es located at 1734 Santa Rita Road; and I WHEREAS, the property is zoned R-1-6500 (Si~gle-family .Residential) District; and ~ WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public heari~hg of August 8, 1984 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and r commendations of the City staff, including the envi onmental impacts of the proposed General Plan Chang`; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission felt that Fhere would be a: significant environmental impact~on the surround- ing areas should the General Plan a changed as requested because of possible noisy; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further fo nd that approval of this application would have a n gative effect upon the environment in as much as it would create a spot-zoning situation and theref re precedent setting. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1.
