PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2522 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING <br />DENIAL OF THE GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT APPLICATION FILED <br />UNDER CASE GP-84-10 BY CATHOLIC BISHOP OF OAKLAND/EVH <br />PARTNERSHIP <br />WHEREAS, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Oakland and EVH Partnership <br />have applied to amend the General Plan Land Use Element <br />designation from "High Density Residential" to <br />"Commercial and offices" of an approximately 13 acre <br />site located at the southwest corner of the intersection <br />of the railroad tracks of the Southern Pacific <br />Transportation Company and Bernal Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, current zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-High Density Residential District; and <br />WHEREAS, a negative declaration was recommended for approval at <br />the duly noticed public hearing of September 12, 1984 <br />after the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission desires to maintain this 13 <br />acre site for high density residential housing. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends denial of case GP-84-10 for a general plan <br />amendment to change the land use designation of the <br />subject 13 acre site from High Density Residential to <br />Commercial and Offices. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman <br />Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: September 12, 1984 <br />- 1 - <br />
