PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2523 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DENYING OF CASE PUD-84-8 AS FILED BY THE ROMAN CATHOLIC BISHOP OF OAKLAND/EVH PARTNERSHIP WHEREAS, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Oakland and EVH Partnership have applied for PUD rezoning and development plan approval for an office/retail commercial complex of approximately 169,700 sq. ft. on an approximately 13 acre site located at the southwest corner of the intersection of the railroad tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company and Bernal Avenue: and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 12, 1984 the Planning Commission considered a general plan amendment for this property which would allow the rezoning and development plan as submitted; and WHEREAS, after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, proposed negative declaration, and recommendations of the City staff, the Planning Commission recommended denial case GP-84-10, the general plan amendment for this same site. NO, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Denies case PUD-84-8 for rezoning and development plan approval for an office retail commercial complex of approximately 169,700 sq. ft. on an approximately 13 acre site located at the southwest corner of the intersection of the railroad tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company and Bernal Avenue because they recommended denail of the general plan amendment to allow the zoning change because it is their desire to maintain this property for high density residential development. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: -- AYES: Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman Doherty NOES: None - 1 -
