PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2523 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DENYING OF CASE PUD-84-8 AS FILED BY THE <br />ROMAN CATHOLIC BISHOP OF OAKLAND/EVH PARTNERSHIP <br />WHEREAS, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Oakland and EVH Partnership <br />have applied for PUD rezoning and development plan <br />approval for an office/retail commercial complex of <br />approximately 169,700 sq. ft. on an approximately 13 <br />acre site located at the southwest corner of the <br />intersection of the railroad tracks of the Southern <br />Pacific Transportation Company and Bernal Avenue: and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 12, <br />1984 the Planning Commission considered a general plan <br />amendment for this property which would allow the <br />rezoning and development plan as submitted; and <br />WHEREAS, after considering all public testimony, relevant <br />exhibits, proposed negative declaration, and <br />recommendations of the City staff, the Planning <br />Commission recommended denial case GP-84-10, the general <br />plan amendment for this same site. <br />NO, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Denies case PUD-84-8 for rezoning and development <br />plan approval for an office retail commercial complex of <br />approximately 169,700 sq. ft. on an approximately 13 <br />acre site located at the southwest corner of the <br />intersection of the railroad tracks of the Southern <br />Pacific Transportation Company and Bernal Avenue because <br />they recommended denail of the general plan amendment to <br />allow the zoning change because it is their desire to <br />maintain this property for high density residential <br />development. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 12TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1984 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br />-- AYES: Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindsey, Wilson and Chairman <br />Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />- 1 - <br />
