CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-37 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF MICHAEL <br /> AND JOYCE BROWN TO A DECISION OF THE <br /> DESIGN REVIEW BOARD DENYING APPROVAL FOR <br /> A 598 SQ. FT. GARAGE AT 1755 EQUESTRIAN <br /> DRIVE (AP-88-29/Z-88-436) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 9, 1988, the Design <br /> Review Board recommended denial of Case Z-88-436, <br /> the application of Michael and Joyce Brown for <br /> approval to construct an approximately 598 sq. ft. <br /> garage at their residence located at 1755 <br /> Equestrian Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this matter was appealed to the City Council by Mr. <br /> and Mrs. Brown; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before the <br /> City Council on January 17, 1989, at which time all <br /> pertinent testimony and documents were reviewed; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it was determined by the Council that the proposed <br /> structure was too massive; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the appeal of Case Z-88-436, the <br /> application of Michael and Joyce Brown for design <br /> review approval to allow the construction of an <br /> approximately 598 square foot garage at their <br /> residence located at 1744 Equestrian Drive and <br /> therefore SUSTAINS the decision of the Design <br /> Review Board DENYING the application (AP-88-29). <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
