PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2554 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONING CHANGE FOR <br />1734 SANTA RITA ROAD AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-84-11 <br />WHEREAS, City Council has applied to rezone an approximately <br />10,000 sq. ft. site located at 1734 Santa Rita Road from <br />R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District to the PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development)-Commercial District or to any <br />other district consistent with the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of October 16, 198 the City Council <br />approved a land use change for this property from <br />"Medium Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices" <br />and at that time they indicated that they felt that <br />offices should be allowed on the site and certain types <br />of commercial uses might be appropriate under a <br />conditional use permit; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 24, 1984 <br />the Planning Commission considered the recommendations <br />of the City staff and City Council as well as all public <br />testimony and relevant exhibits; and <br />WHEREAS, a negative declaration was prepared for the general plan <br />amendment for the subject property and this rezoning is <br />in conformance with that General Plan amendment and the <br />intent of the Council, therefore, it does not constitute <br />a new project and no environmental document accompanies <br />this rezoning application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING; <br />Section 1. Recommends the property located at 1734 Santa Rita <br />Road be rezoned PUD-Commercial and Offices District and <br />that the following uses be allowed: <br />Offices, including, but not limited to business, <br />professional and administrative offices. <br />Single Family Dwellings <br />Section 2. Recommends that the following uses should be <br />conditionally allowed on the subject property: <br />1. Antique Stores <br />2. Art Galleries and Artist's Supply Store <br />
