CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-36 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff has conducted a survey of a number of <br /> comparable cities and determined that many cities <br /> compensate their appointed commissioners; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City commissioners devote hundreds of hours to the <br /> City and some compensation is warranted in <br /> recognition of their commitment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: City appointed commissioners (including <br /> alternatives) on the Planning Commission, Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission, Human Services Commission, <br /> Pleasanton Housing Authority Commission and Library <br /> Commission shall receive $50 for each meeting <br /> attended, with a maximum of $100 per month. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> on February 1, 1989. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 17, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None /~ <br />ATTEST: KENNE~ R.'MER~ER, MAYOR <br /> <br />R.
