CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE N0. AN ORDINANCE MAKING VIOLATION OF THE ZONING CODE, THE BUILDING CODE, THE PLUMBING CODE, THE ELECTRICAL CODE, THE MECHANICAL CODE, AND THE FIRE CODE AN INFRACTION RATHER THAN A MISDEMEANOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Title I (Administration), Chapter 1 (General Provisions), Section 1-1.15 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as shown on Exhibit A attached. Section 2: Title II (Zoning and Development), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Section 2-12.12 (a) is amended to read as follows: "Any violation of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Section 1.15 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code." Section 3: It is the intention of the City Council that if this . ordinance shall take effect prior to the proposed ordinance to adopt 1982 or later Uniform Building, Housing, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, then the provisions of those codes which currently provide for misdemeanor penalties shall be repealed. Those sections are Section 2-12.46, Section 2-13.25, Section 2-13.40, Section 2-14.16 and Section 2-14.41 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code. Section 4: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton. Section 5: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage and adoption.
