CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-34 <br /> <br /> ARESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF CHILD CARE <br /> SERVICES TO MEET EXISTING NEED AND <br /> APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS <br /> FOR CHILD CARE SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton believes available, quality <br /> child care services are necessary to the well-being <br /> of a community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, planning and coordinating activities within local <br /> governments to facilitate the availability of child <br /> care services will assist in the provision of <br /> quality child care. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: That the City Council supports child care <br /> services and approves the application for grant <br /> funding from the State Department of Education <br /> Child Development Division for planning and <br /> coordinating activities to facilitate the <br /> availability of child development services. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JANUARY 17, 1989 BY THE FOLLOWING <br /> VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None ~ <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: ~TH R.
