PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 2567
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF NORTH PLEASANTON
TRAFFIC STUDY ASSUMPTIONS
WHEREAS, the Pleasanton City Council and the Planning Commission
recently requested the staff review the assumptions and
procedures that were made for all traffic studies within
the north Pleasanton area; and
WHEREAS, in conformance with this request, TJKM prepared a
memorandum explaining what assumption they had used in
their previous traffic studies. After reviewing this
memo with TJKM, it became apparent that what the City
needed was a set of standard assumptions which would be
required to be used by any traffic engineer doing work
in Pleasanton, especially in the north Pleasanton area;
and
WHEREAS, TJKM drafted a set of standard requirements or
guidelines for all future traffic studies within the
north Pleasanton area. To insure the validity of the
assumptions and methods of calculation and to try to
make them acceptable to other traffic engineers doing
work in North Pleasanton, staff sent these standards to
Wilbur Smith and Associates, traffic engineers. After
reviewing Wilbur Smith's comments with TJKM, some of the
assumptions were revised and others were explained in
more depth; and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 1984
presented a copy of
October 4, 1984 and
October 10, 1984; a
WHEREAS, decision concerning
November 14, 1984.
the Planning Commission was
Wilbur Smith's comments dated
the Revised Standards by TJKM dated
Zd
these assumptions was continued to
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. Recommends the North Pleasanton Traffic Study
Assumptions consisting of Wilbur Smith's letter dated
October 4, 1984 and the Revised Standards by TJKM dated
October 10, 1984 be adopted and that these assumptions
-- be reviewed bi-annually by the City Staff.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
