~- PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2603 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASES GP-85-1 AND RZ-85-1, <br />APPLICATIONS OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee on Downtown Residential Zoning <br />Change has recommended that the Villa Armando Winery <br />property (and the Scotto resdiential property) located <br />on the north side of St. John Street, immediately east <br />of the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way, be rezoned <br />from the I-G (General Industrial District to the RM-1500 <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission initiated a General Plan <br />amendment and rezoning application to effect the desires <br />of the Advisory Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 13, <br />1985 the Planning Commission considered all public <br />" testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning these applications as well as the <br />environmental impacts as outlined on the Initial Study <br />prepared by the City Staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission concurred with the Initial Study <br />and made the finding that the general plan and zoning <br />changes proposed would have an insignificant effect on <br />the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the negative declaration <br />prepared for Cases GP-85-1 and RZ-85-1, the City of <br />Pleasanton's applications to amend the General Plan Land <br />Use designation of an approximately 2.25 acre site <br />located at 553, 539 and 571 St. John Street from <br />Commercial and Offices to High Density Residential and <br />the City of Pleasanton's application to rezone an <br />approximately 3.0 acre site located at 539, 553, and 571 <br />St. John Street from I-G (General Industrial) District <br />to the RM-1500 (Multiple-family Residential) District or <br />to any other zoning district consistent with the General <br />Plan. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
