CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE N0. DRAFT 4/1/85 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-5.38 (f) OF ARTICLE 3, CHAPTER 2, <br />TITLE II OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO REDUCE <br />SIDEYARD REQUIREMENTS IN SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Section 2-5.38 (f) (Side and Rear Yards: Requirements and <br />Exceptions) of Article 3 (Site, Yard, Bulk, Usable Open Space and <br />Screening and Landscaping Regulations), Chapter 2, Title II of the <br />Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended by <br />adding the following to Section 2-5.38(f) to read as follows: <br />"In the R-1-6500 and R-1-7500 Districts, fences, walls and hedges <br />not over 6 ft. in height may be located to within 5 ft. of the <br />side property line on the street side of a corner lot between the <br />rear property line and a point setback 15 feet from the front <br />corner of of the residence closest to the side street." <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br />days after its adoption in "The Valley Times" a newspaper of <br />general circulation published in the CIty of Pleasanton. <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the <br />date of its final passage and adoption. <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />on by the following vote: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />ATTEST: <br />KENNETH R.
