PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2642 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE Z-85-59 <br />WHEREIaS, Bill Hirst has applied for design review approval for a <br />comprehensive signing program for the Downtown Centre II <br />development located at 235-243 Main Street; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is CC/CO (Central <br />Commercial/Civic Overlay) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of April 24, 1985 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application. <br />NOW, TiiEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case Z-85-59 for an overall <br />signing program for Downtown Centre II on Main Street <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the sign shall be substantially as shown on the <br />site plan and elevations, Exhibit A, dated 4/16/85 <br />on file with the Planning Department. <br />2. That neither of the proposed free standing signs <br />shall be installed until the existing Downtown <br />Centre sign has been removed. <br />3. That the new free standing sign for phase 1 of the <br />Downtown Centre may be installed after the free <br />standing sign for phase 2 of the center but that it <br />shall be identical to the phase 2 sign. <br />4. That there shall be no custom colored shingles <br />either on the free standing signs or on the <br />individual wall signs and that the applicant shall <br />maintain these signs at all times in an attractive <br />manner throughout the duration of their existence on <br />the subject property. <br />5. That no additional signing shall be installed on the <br />subject property without prior City approval. <br />6. That the background and lettering colors of the free <br />standing signs and individual wall signs shall be <br />identical. <br />
