PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2660 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON APPROVING A SIGN PROGRAM FOR THE SHERATON <br />HOTEL AND VELVET TURTLE RESTAURANT AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />Z-85-108 <br />WHEREAS, GUS Enterprises has applied for design review approval <br />for a comprehensive sign program at 5115 and 5121 <br />Hopyard Road (Sheraton Hotel); and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Offices <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 22, 1985 the <br />Design Review Board asked the applicants to submit a <br />revised sign program to be reviewed by the full Planning <br />Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 12, 1985 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves Case Z-85-108, application of GUS <br />Enterprises for design review approval for a <br />comprehensive sign program at 5115 and 5121 Hopyard Road <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the signing be substantially as shown n the <br />elevations Exhibit A, for Case Z-85-108. <br />2. That no additional signing shall be installed on the <br />subject property without prior City approval. <br />3. That the applicant apply for and be issued all <br />required City permits (including an encroachment <br />permit from the City Engineering Department) prior <br />to installation of the signs. <br />4. That the monument sign shall be installed within the <br />driveway planter at natural grade and will not <br />result in an overall height greater than 9 ft. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective the day after <br />notification of the City Council or June 19, 1985. <br />
