PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2677 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR JEAN <br />MONSON AS FILED UNDER CASE UP-85-25 <br />WHEREAS, Jean Monson has applied for a conditional use permit to <br />allow therapeutic massage and cellulite treatments in <br />conjunction with an existing beauty parlor located at <br />3037-E Hopyard Road (Hopyard Village Shopping Center); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is CC (Central Commercial) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of July 24, 1985 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found a) that the proposed <br />location of the conditional use is in accord with the <br />objectives of the ordinance code and the purposes of the <br />district in which the site is located; b) that the <br />proposed location of the conditional use and the <br />conditions under which it would be operated or <br />maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, <br />safety or welfare, or be materially injurious to <br />properties or improvements in the vicinity; and c) that <br />the proposed conditional use will comply with each of <br />the applicable provisions of the ordinance code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section <br />1. Approves case UP-85-25, application of Jean Monson for <br />conditional use permit approval to allow therapeutic <br />massage and cellulite treatments in conjunction with an <br />existing beauty parlor located at 3037-E Hopyard Road <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That this permit is granted solely for therapeutic <br />massage and cellulite treatments in conjunction with <br />existing beauty salon operations. <br />2. That prior to initiation of the massage use, the <br />applicant shall submit written confirmation that all <br />requirements of the Pleasanton Police Department and <br />California State Health Department are met. <br />
