CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 89-12 ARESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PLEASEON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 129 (BONDE RANCH) PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-KNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of approximately 100 acres, Annexation No. 129 (Bonds Ranch), and requests initiation of proceedings thereon; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as follows: This is a logical extension of the City limits and the City of Pleasanton should have control over the development of this property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the annexation of territory as described in Exhibit "A", according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
