PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 2689 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR BOWEN/RIFE AS FILED UNDER CASE UP-85-30 WHEREAS, James Bowen and Johnnie Rife have applied for a conditional use permit to operate an automotive repair business to be located at 3663 Old Santa Rita Road; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is CS (Commercial Service) District; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of August 14, 1985 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found a) that the proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with the objectives of the ordinance code and the purposes of the district in which the site is located; the proposed use is a business that is suited for the Commercial Service (CS) Zoning District. It is compatible with the warehouse uses within the building; b) that the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety or welfare, or be materially injurious to properties or improvements in the vicinity; the building was designed with ample parking and fire protection in order to accommodate this type of use; and c) that the proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of the ordinance code; and as proposed an conditioned, each applicable provision has been satisfied. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Approves case UP-85-30, application of James Bowen and Johnnie Rife for a conditional use permit to operate an automotive repair business to be located at 3663 Old Santa Rita Road subject to the following conditions: 1. That approval is granted for automobile repairing and overhauling in any part of the building located at 3663 Old Santa Rita Road. 2. That all repair work be done completely indoors.
