CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-08 <br /> <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF BERNAL AVENUE/FIRST STREET <br /> INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. <br /> 86-01, AND AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATION OF <br /> $30,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO COVER <br /> CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, work by Oliver de Silva, Inc. on the improvements <br /> for Bernal Avenue/First Street Intersection, <br /> Project No. 86-01, has been satisfactorily <br /> completed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate to authorize the final progress <br /> payment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The work on the Bernal Avenue/First Street <br /> intersection, Project No. 86-01, is hereby <br /> accepted. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Director of Finance is instructed to prepare <br /> a warrant in the amount of $26,279.83 in favor of <br /> Oliver de Silva, Inc. in satisfaction of the final <br /> progress payment for the above-accepted work on <br /> Project No. 86-01. Five percent (5%) of the total <br /> contract or $55,657.48 will be retained until <br /> thirty (30) days after filing of the Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City Attorney is directed to file a Notice of <br /> Completion with the Alameda County Recorder. <br /> <br />Section 4: Staff is directed to prepare all necessary <br /> paperwork with Caltrans to receive reimbursement <br /> from the Federal government for eligible portions <br /> of the project. <br /> <br />Section 5: Authorizes appropriation of an additional $30,000 <br /> from the General Fund to cover the cost of contract <br /> change orders already approved on the project. <br /> <br />Section 6: This resolution shall become effective <br /> immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
