PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2707 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-85-15 TO CREATE AN OVERLAY DISTRICT TO ESTABLISH DESIGN REVIEW PROCEDURES IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has made application to amend the Ordinance Code to create an overlay district to establish design review procedures and design standards from the Central Business District in that area generally bounded by Bernal Avenue, First Street, Stanley Boulevard, the railroad tracks of the Union Pacific Railroad, St. John Street and Peters Avenue (both sides of said streets); and WHEREAS, on August 14, 1985 the Planning Commission initiated a code amendment containing the recommendations contained in the Chamber of Commerce Downtown Task Force report; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 25, 1985, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, this code amendment is exempt from CEQA; thus, no initial study nor negative declaration accompanies this case. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of the Task Force Final Draft (with staff recommended changes) except that Section 2-2.3423 shall be deleted and placed in the Guidelines. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE 25TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: Commissioners Innes, Michelotti, Wellman and Vice Chairman Lindsey NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioner Hoyt and Chairman Wilson ABSTAIN: None DATE: September 25, 1985
