PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2713 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVING A <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR STONEY RIDGE WINERY AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE UP-85-35 <br />WHEREAS, Dominic Scotto has applied for a conditional use permit <br />to operate a retail wine tasting room at 818 Main <br />Street, Suites C & D; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is CC (Central Commercial) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 25, <br />1985 the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found a) that the proposed <br />location of the conditional use is in accordance with <br />the objectives of the ordinance code and the purposes of <br />the Central Commercial District in which the site is <br />located. The proposed location concentrates retail uses <br />for the convenience of the public in a mutually <br />beneficial relationship to each other, maintains <br />compactness and encourages more intensive development in <br />Pleasanton's central business district; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found b) that the proposed <br />location of the conditional use and the conditions under <br />which it would be operated or maintained will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or <br />materially injurious to the properties or improvements <br />in the vicinity given the proposed size and intensity of <br />the winetasting room sue. The use's small scale will <br />mitigate potential operational problems; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found c) that the proposed <br />conditional use, as conditioned, will comply with each <br />of the applicable provisions of the ordinance code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves Case UP-85-35, application of Stony Ridge <br />Winery for a conditional use permit to operate <br />commercial wine tasting room at 818 Main Street <br />to the following conditions: <br />a <br />subject <br />
