PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2723 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THE CITY WITHDRAW SUPPORT <br />OF THE VALLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL PROPOSED FOR WEST <br />LAST POSITAS BOULEVARD AND SANTA RITA ROAD <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 13, <br />1985 the Planning Commission discussed the matter of <br />Valley Memorial Hospital constructing a new hospital <br />facility at the northwest corner of Santa Rita Road <br />and West Las Positas Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, it is apparent that Valley Memorial Hospital feels <br />no obligation to provide hospital services within <br />Pleasanton despite the assurances given by the City <br />of Pleasanton and the financial assistance given <br />Valley Memorial Hospital in the past by west valley <br />residents; and <br />WHEREAS, there are indications that others would be willing <br />to proceed quickly to build a hospital in <br />Pleasanton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 2. <br />PASSED AND <br />PLEASANTON <br />VOTE: <br />Recommends the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton rescind the waiver of participation in <br />the North Pleasanton Assessment District and the <br />guarantee of sewer capacity for Valley Memorial <br />Hospital to construct a medical/hospital facility at <br />the northwest corner of West Las Positas Boulevard. <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />ON THE 13TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, <br />Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Innes, Lindsey, Wellman and <br />DATE: November 13, 1985 <br />
