CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-5.41(6). ARTICLE 3, <br />CHAPTER 2, TITLE II OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON TO DECREASE THE REQUIRED SETBACKS FOR COVERED <br />PATIOS IN THE R-1 ZONING DISTRICT. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON does ordain as follows: <br />Section 1. Section 2-541(6), (Projections into yards) of Article <br />3 (Site, Yard,BUlk, Usable Open Space and Screening <br />and Landscaping Regulations), Chapter 2, Title II of <br />the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />"Covered Patios. Covered patios attached to a main <br />structure and enclosed on more than one side may <br />project not more than eight (8) feet into a required <br />rear yard and five (5) feet into a required side yard <br />within thirty-five (35) feet of the rear lot line, <br />provided that the required side yard shall not be <br />reduced to less than five (5) feet. Covered patios <br />attached to a main structure and opened on three sides <br />may come to within three (3) feet of the rear and side <br />property lines of property within any residential <br />zone. <br />Section 2. This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br />(15) days after its adoption in the "Tri-Valley <br />Herald," a newspaper of general circulation published <br />in the City of Pleasanton. <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days <br />following the date of its final passage and adoption. <br />
