CA 94583 <br />Willoughby J,~hnson (415) 829-3434 <br />(80% 646-7206 <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT FOR FINANCING CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this __ day of July 1989, by and between the CITY <br /> OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City') and KADIE JENSEN <br /> JOHNSON & BODNAR (hereinafter referred to as "Consultant'). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Five Year Capital Improvement Program 1989/90 Through 1993/94, (hereinafter <br /> referred to as the "CIP") identifies certain proposed new projects that may involve debt-financing <br /> (hereinafter referred to as "CIP Projects"); and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, presently identified CIP Projects include the Police Department Building Expansion, Fire <br /> Station #4 and Related Equipment, Senior Citizens' Center, Gymnasiums at the Pleasanton and <br /> Harvest Park Middle Schools, and Cross-Town Interceptor and East Amador Sewer Lines; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City intends to maintain a continuing review and an annual update of the CIP to <br /> revise the content, scope or nature of future CIP Projects as warranted by changes in the City's <br /> facility needs, priorities, and ability to finance and support future CIP Projects; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to engage Consultant to complete financing analyses of future CIP <br /> Projects and provide consulting services in the preparation and execution of financing plans to fund <br /> CIP Projects, including the possible sale of debt instruments by, or on behalf of, the City; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultant has the required experience and qualifications to provide such desired <br /> financing consulting services, <br /> <br /> NOW. THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED by and between the parties hereto as follows: <br /> Financin.q Planning Services <br /> <br /> As direclld by the City, the Consultant will complete financing studies and analyses for the <br /> development of financing plans for CIP Projects by providing the following services: <br /> <br /> (1) Review available financial, legal, architect/engineering and other relevant information <br /> available from the City which has a bearing on the development of financing plans for CIP Projects; <br /> <br /> (2) Confer and consult with City staff, architect/engineering consultants, and other interested <br /> parties as needed to identify financing, legal and public policy opportunities and constraints <br /> associated with CIP Projects, including, but not limited to: <br /> <br /> o capital costs of CIP Projects as scheduled, including allowances for cost escalation to the <br /> estimated mid-point of construction, cash flow needs dudng the design and construction <br /> <br /> <br />
