PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2781 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />GOOD SHEPHERD, AS FILE UNDER CASE UP-86-4 <br />WHEREAS, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has applied for a <br />conditional use permit to allow for the establishment of <br />a church in an industrial/warehouse structure, located <br />at 1241 Quarry Lane; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Industrial District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of April 9, 1986 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed location <br />of the conditional use is in accordance with the <br />objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purposes of <br />the district in which the site is located. The purpose <br />of the PUD-Industrial District is to provide adequate <br />space for industrial uses. Churches are conditionally <br />allowed in such zoning district since worship service <br />occur during non-business hours of the park and will not <br />not interfere with the industrial uses; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed location <br />of the conditional use and the conditions under which it <br />would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental <br />to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially <br />injurious to the properties or improvements in the <br />vicinity. All church services and meetings will be on <br />Sundays and evenings. No businesses within the park <br />will be operating during those hours and, therefore, the <br />church will not adversely affect workers within the <br />Park. There will be adequate access and parking on the <br />site; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed <br />conditional use will comply with each of the applicable <br />provisions of the ordinance code. The proposed church <br />facility will comply with all provisions of Article 25, <br />Conditional Uses, of the Pleasanton Zoning Code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />
