PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 2781 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR GOOD SHEPHERD, AS FILE UNDER CASE UP-86-4 WHEREAS, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has applied for a conditional use permit to allow for the establishment of a church in an industrial/warehouse structure, located at 1241 Quarry Lane; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial District; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of April 9, 1986 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purposes of the district in which the site is located. The purpose of the PUD-Industrial District is to provide adequate space for industrial uses. Churches are conditionally allowed in such zoning district since worship service occur during non-business hours of the park and will not not interfere with the industrial uses; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. All church services and meetings will be on Sundays and evenings. No businesses within the park will be operating during those hours and, therefore, the church will not adversely affect workers within the Park. There will be adequate access and parking on the site; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of the ordinance code. The proposed church facility will comply with all provisions of Article 25, Conditional Uses, of the Pleasanton Zoning Code. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
