PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2'787 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON APPROVING A SIGN PROGRAM FOR EAST BAY BMW AS <br />FILED UNDER CASE Z-85-409 <br />WHEREAS, Trammell-Crow Company, the Val Strough Company and East <br />Bay BMW have all made separate applications seeking <br />design review approval for compreh~nsixe-sigil_programs, <br />_ _ <br />for their respective sites w~--itFiin the 49 acre <br />commercial/retail center which is located in the <br />southwest corner of the intersection of Santa Rita Road <br />and I-580; and <br />WHEREAS, all of the proposed signs are to identify a group of <br />independent but interrelated sites that have been <br />approved for development; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 14, 1986 the <br />Planning Commission considered testimony, related <br />exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning these applications. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves Case Z-85-409, the application of East Bay <br />BMW for a signing program for their retail/commercial <br />site located at the southwest corner of the intersection <br />of I-580 and Santa Rita Road subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. One 24' high pylon sign depicting the BMW logo and <br />East Bay BMW but excluding any halogen lighting. <br />2. Two 4'6" high, on-site directional signs to be <br />located adjacent to each of the driveway entrances <br />to the site. <br />3. Two internally illuminated wall signs depicting East <br />Bay BMW on the north and south building elevations. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective the day after <br />notification of the Council (5/21/86), unless the <br />Council elects to review the decision of the Commission. <br />
