PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2789 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE GP-86-1, <br />CALLAHAN-PENTZ PROPERTIES <br />WHEREAS, Callahan-Pentz Properties and Prudential Insurance <br />Company of America have applied to amend the Gengsa~ <br />Plan Land Use Element designation of an approximately <br />`10.5 acre site from Commercial and Offices and Public <br />Health and Safety to High Density Residential located <br />generally in the area bounded by Owens Drive, West Las <br />Positas Boulevard, a portion of the former railroad <br />right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Transportation <br />Company and Tassajara Creek; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 14, 1986 the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed <br />negative declaration for Case GP-86-1; and <br />WHEREAS, the staff recommended approval of this application, <br />indicating it felt the site is appropriate for High <br />Density Residential use. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the 10.5 acre site described in Case <br />GP-86-1 be changed from Commercial and Offices and Open <br />Space (Public Health and Safety) to High Density <br />Residential and Open Space (Public Health and Safety), <br />with the westerly 50' of the former Southern Pacific <br />Transportation Company right-of-way having the Open <br />Space designation (1.1 acre+); and that staff is <br />directed to adjust the land uses proposed within the new <br />General Plan revisions to reflect the 75$/25$ <br />single-family/multi-family housing balance goal. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 14TH DAY OF MAY 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, Innes, Wellman and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />None <br />Commissioner Michelotti <br />None <br />
