PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2790 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE <br />PUD-86-5, APPLICATION OF CALLAHAN-PENTZ PROPERTIES <br />WHEREAS, Callahan Pentz Properties and Prudential Insurance <br />Company have applied to rezone. an approximately 10.5 <br />acre site from PUD ()Planned Unit Development)-Office <br />District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High <br />Density Residential District, located generally in the <br />area bounded by Owens Drive, West Las Positas Boulevard, <br />a portion of the former railroad right-of-way of the <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company and Tassajara <br />Creek; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Office District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 14, 1986 the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval of the Negative <br />Declaration prepared for this case as well as <br />recommending approval of a General Plan amendment <br />(GP-86-1) which would allow rezoning of this site; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - Hiqh Density Residential/Open Space <br />District would conform to the proposed General Plan <br />change. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends PUD-86-5 be approved, changing the 10.5 <br />acre site located generally in the area bounded by Owens <br />Drive, West Las Positas Boulevard, the western boundary <br />of the former railroad right-of-way of the Southern <br />Pacific Transportation Company, and Tassajara Creek from <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Office District to the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density <br />Residential/Open Space District. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
