PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2791 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE GP-86-2, PRUDENTIAL <br />INSURANCE COMPANY <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied to <br />amend the General Plan Land Use Element designation of <br />an approximately 14.6 acre site from <br />Industrial/Commercial and Offices and Public Health and <br />Safety to High Density Residential located generally in <br />the area bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, a <br />portion of the former railroad right-of-way of the <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company, and the <br />right-of-way of the Stoneridge Drive extension; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 14, 1986 the <br />Planning Commission received a proposed negative <br />declaration for Case GP-86-2; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated May 7, 1986 and received the <br />recommendation of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />that there would not be any significant impacts upon the <br />environment by approving the application and recommended <br />adoption of the Negative Declaration prepared for this <br />case. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that based upon the <br />review of the Initial Study and the testimony and <br />documentary evidence presented at the public hearing <br />that there will be no significant adverse impacts on the <br />environment as a result of approval of the subject <br />application. <br />Section 2. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration <br />prepared for Case GP-86-2, as herein described. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
