PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2792 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE GP-86-2, <br />PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY <br />WHEREAS, The Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied <br />to amend the General Plan Land Use Element designation <br />of an approximately 14.6 acre site from <br />Industrial/Commercial and Offices and Public Health and <br />Safety to "High Density Residential" located generally <br />in the area bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, a <br />portion of the former railroad right-of-way of the <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company, and the <br />right-of-way of the Stoneridge Drive extension; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 14, 1986 the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposed <br />negative declaration for Case GP-86-2; and <br />WHEREAS, the staff recommended approval of this application, <br />indicating it felt the site is appropriate for High <br />Density Residential use. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section <br />1. Recommends that the 14.6 acre site described in Case <br />GP-86-2 be changed from "Industrial/Commercial and <br />Offices" and "Open Space (Public Health and Safety)" to <br />"High Density Residential" and "Open Space (Public <br />Health and Safety)," with the easterly 50' of the former <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company right-of-way <br />having the open Space designation (approximately 1.1+ <br />acre). Staff is directed to adjust the land uses <br />proposed within the new General Plan revisions to <br />reflect the 75/25$ single-family/multi-family housing <br />balance goal. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 14TH DAY OF MAY 1986 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, Innes, Wellman and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Michelotti <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />
