PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2793 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE <br />PUD-86-6, APPLICATION OF PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE <br />COMPANY OF AMERICA <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied to <br />rezone an approximately 14.6 acre site from PUD (Planned <br />~Tnit-'D'evelopment)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices <br />District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High <br />Density Residential District, located generally in the <br />are bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, a portion of <br />the former railroad right-of-way of the Southern Pacific <br />Transportation Company, and the right-of-way of the <br />Stoneridge Drive extension; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 14, 1986 the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval of the Negative <br />Declaration prepared for this case as well as <br />recommending approval of a General Plan amendment <br />(GP-86-2) which would allow rezoning of this site; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - High Density Residential/Open Space <br />District would conform to the proposed General Plan <br />change. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends Case PUD-86-6 be approved, changing the <br />14.6 acre site located generally in the area bounded by <br />West Las Positas Boulevard, a portion of the former <br />railroad right-of-way of the Southern Pacific <br />Transportation Company and the right-of-way of the <br />Stoneridge Drive extension from "PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Industrial Commercial and Offices District" <br />to the "PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density <br />Residential/Open Space District." <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
