11.20.010 <br />Chapter 11.20 <br />SPEED LIMITS <br />Sections: <br />11.20.010 Increasing State Speed <br />Limits In Certain <br />Zones <br />11.20.020 Decreasing State <br />Speed Limits In <br />Certain Zones <br />11.20.010 Increasing State Speed <br />Limits In Certain Zones: <br />It is determined upon the basis of an <br />engineering and traffic investigation <br />that the speed permitted by state law <br />upon the following streets is less than <br />is necessary for safe operation of vehi- <br />cles thereon. By reason of the said <br />study it is declared that the prima facie <br />speed limit shall be as set forth in this <br />section on those streets or parts of <br />streets designated in this section when <br />signs are erected giving notice thereof: <br />A. Andrews Drive: On Andrews <br />Drive from Owens Drive to Old Santa <br />Rita Road the speed limit shall be forty <br />(40) miles per hour. <br />B. Bernal Avenue: <br />1. On Bernal Avenue from Foothill <br />Road to east side of Arroyo de la Lagu- <br />na Bridge the speed limit shall be thirty <br />five (35) miles per hour. <br />2. On Bernal Avenue from east side <br />of Arroyo de la Laguna Bridge to <br />Pleasanton Avenue the speed limit shall <br />be forty five (45) miles per hour. <br />3. On Bernal Avenue from Pleas- <br />anton Avenue to Kottinger Drive the <br />speed limit shall be thirty five (35) <br />miles per hour. <br />4. On Bernal Avenue from Kottinger <br />Drive to Vineyard Avenue/Tawny Drive <br />the speed limit shall be thirty (30) <br />miles per hour. <br />5. On Bernal Avenue from Vineyard <br />Avenue to Del Valle Parkway the speed <br />limit shall be thirty (30) miles per hour. <br />6. On Bernal Avenue from Del Valle <br />Parkway to Stanley Boulevard the <br />speed limit shall be forty (40) miles per <br />hour. <br />C. Busch Road: On Busch Road from <br />Valley Avenue to the end of Busch <br />Road (Kaiser Sand and Gravel Com- <br />pany fence) the speed limit shall be <br />thirty five (35) miles per hour. <br />D. Chabot Drive: On Chabot Drive <br />from Owens Drive to Inglewood Drive <br />the speed limit shall be thirty (30) <br />miles per hour. <br />E. Dublin Canyon Road: <br />1. On Dublin Canyon Road from <br />five-tenths (0.5) mile west of Foothill <br />Road to city limits the speed limit shall <br />be forty five (45) miles per hour. <br />2. On Dublin Canyon Road from <br />Foothill Road to five-tenths (0.5) mile <br />west of Foothill Road the speed limit <br />shall be thirty (30) miles per hour. <br />F. First Street: <br />1. On First Street from Stanley Bou- <br />levard to Ray Street/Vineyard Avenue <br />the speed limit shall be thirty five (35) <br />miles per hour. <br />G. Foothill Road: <br />1. On Foothill Road from northerly <br />city limits within city jurisdiction to <br />Bernal Avenue the speed limit shall be <br />261 (Pleasanton April 2001) <br />
