Members shall be compensated as <br />established by City Council resolution. <br />(Ord. 1786 § 1, 1999; Ord. 1676 § 2, <br />1996) <br />2.39.030 Appointment: <br />Members shall be appointed to the <br />Commission in accordance with the <br />adopted City resolution establishing pro- <br />cedures for appointments to City boards <br />and commissions. (Ord. 1676 § 2, 1996) <br />2.39.040 Meetings: <br />The Commission shall attempt to meet <br />on a monthly basis at a predetermined <br />time and place, but shall meet at least <br />four (4) times each calendar year. (Ord. <br />1676 § 2, 1996) <br />2.39.020 Membership; <br />Compensation: <br />A. The Civic Arts Commission shall be <br />comprised of seven (7) members and an <br />alternate. One member shall be a member <br />of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council. <br />At least two (2) members shall be work- <br />ing artists. "Working artists" shall be de- <br />fined asthose persons who have enjoyed <br />success in the exhibition of their works <br />and enjoy the professional respect of their <br />peers, or are engaged as instructors of art, <br />or have been engaged as art museum <br />directors, gallery curators or docents, or <br />art consultants. All members shall be <br />residents of the City and shall be commit- <br />2.39.050 Term Of Office: <br />Members shall serve terms as estab- <br />lished by City Council resolution. (Ord. <br />1676 § 2, 1996) <br />2.39.060 Organization: <br />A. Within thirty (30) days after their <br />appointment, the members shall meet and <br />elect a chair and vice chair. Thereafter, <br />the members shall each January elect a <br />chair and vice chair. <br />B.
