1.12.010 <br />Chapter 1.12 <br />GENERAL PENALTY <br />Sections: <br />1.12.010 Violation -Penalty <br />1.12.020 Infractions <br />1.12.030 Continuing Violation <br />1.12.010 Violation -Penalty: <br />Except as otherwise provided in <br />Chapters 1.24 and 1.28 of this Title, <br />any person who violates any of the <br />provisions of this Code or who fails to <br />comply with any regulatory require- <br />ments of this Code is guilty of a misde- <br />meanor, and upon conviction is punish- <br />able by a fine not exceeding one thou- <br />sand dollars ($1,000.00) or by impris- <br />onment in the County jail for a period <br />not exceeding six (6) months, or by <br />both. (Ord. 1687 § 1, 1996; Ord. 1245 <br />§ 1, 1986; Ord. 1222 § 4, 1985; Prior <br />Code § 1-1.111) <br />1.12.020 Infractions: <br />A. Notwithstanding Section 1.12.010 <br />of this Chapter, any person who vio- <br />lates aprovision of this Code designat- <br />ed in this Chapter shall be guilty of an <br />infraction, punishable by: <br />1. A fine not exceeding one hundred <br />dollars ($100.00) for the first violation; <br />2. A fine not exceeding two hundred <br />dollars ($200.00) for a second violation <br />of the same ordinance within one year; <br />3. A fine not exceeding five hundred <br />dollars ($500.00) for the third violation <br />of the same ordinance within one year. <br />Any person who violates the same <br />ordinance more than three (3) times in <br />any twelve (12) month period shall be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor. <br />B. Violations of the following sec- <br />tions are designated punishable as in- <br />fractions: <br />1. Chapter 6.04, Amusement Devic- <br />es. <br />2. Chapter 6.40, Taxicabs. <br />3. Chapter 6.44, Teen-Age Dances. <br />4. Title 7, Animals. <br />5. Chapter 9.04, Noise Regulations. <br />6. Chapter 9.08, Litter. <br />7. Chapter 9.20, Garbage. <br />8. Chapter 10.08, Offenses By Or <br />Against Minors. <br />9. Chapter 10.12, Weapons. <br />10. Chapter 10.20, Alcohol Regula- <br />tions. <br />11. Chapter 11.16, Traffic-Control <br />Devices and regulations relating to <br />vehicular and pedestrian movement. <br />12. Chapter 11.36, Stopping, Stand- <br />ing And Parking of vehicles. <br />13. Chapter 11.52, Bicycles. <br />14. Chapter 11.54, Skateboards. <br />15. Chapter 11.64, Parades. <br />16.
