2.38.050 2.38.050 Terms: A. At-lazge members shall serve their terms consistent with the City Council resolution concerning term limits for commission members. B. The liaison members shall be nomi- nated by their representative commissions for one year terms commencing in Janu- ary of each year. The term of office of the liaison members shall not extend beyond their term on the commission they represent. (Ord. 1674 § 1, 1996) 2.38.060 Maintenance Of Membership: Persons appointed to the Commission shall continue to serve as members of the Commission except when: A. The member's term of office on the Commission expires and another person has been appointed; B. The member voluntarily resigns from the Commission; C. The member is absent from one- third ('/3) of the regular meetings within a six (6) month period as provided in Sec- tion 2.32.090 of this Title; or D. The member fails to maintain a resi- dence in the City. (Ord. 1674 § 1, 1996) 2.38.070 Vacancies: Vacancies on the Commission shall be filled in accordance with the adopted City Council resolution establishing procedures for appointments to City boazds and com- missions. (Ord. 1674 § 1, 1996) 2.38.080 Meetings: A. All meetings of the Commission shall comply in all respects with section 54950 et seq., of the Government Code, known commonly as the Ralph M. Brown Act. B. Regular meetings shall be held monthly with the time, place and date set by resolution of the Commission. C. Special meetings may be called by the chairperson, or by any five (5) mem- bers of the Commission, provided written notice is given twenty four (24) hours in advance of the special meeting to the following: each Commission member, local newspapers of general circulation, and by anyone who has filed written request for notice with the City Clerk. D. Minutes of all meetings shall be kept and filed with the City Council, the City Manager/City Clerk, and the assis- tant City Manager. (Ord. 1674 § 1, 1996) 2.38.090 Quorum And Voting: A. Four (4) members present shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. B. A majority vote of those present shall be required for any Commission action to be taken. (Ord. 1674 § 1, 1996) 2.38.100 Officers: The Commission, by majority vote, shall appoint from among its members a chairperson and vice chairperson for a term of one year.
