(Prior Code <br />§ 1-3.32.05) <br />2.28.020 Membership; <br />Compensation: <br />The Commission shall be comprised <br />of seven (7) members, all of whom <br />shall be residents of the City. Members <br />of the Commission shall be compensat- <br />ed as established by City Council reso- <br />lution. (Ord. 1674 § 2, 1996; Ord. 1418 <br />§ 1, 1989; Prior Code § 1-3.32.10) <br />2.28.030 Appointment: <br />The members shall be appointed by <br />the Mayor, as provided in the adopted <br />City Council resolution establishing <br />procedures for appointments to boards <br />and commissions. <br />A. Five (5) members and the alter- <br />nate shall be appointed from the com- <br />munity-at-large; <br />B. Two (2) liaison members shall be <br />appointed from other City commissions <br />or boards as follows: <br />1. One member from the Park and <br />Recreation Commission; and <br />2. One member from the Housing <br />Commission. (Ord. 1768 § 1, 1999; <br />Ord. 1674 § 2, 1996; Prior Code <br />§ 1-3.32.15) <br />2.28.040 Terms: <br />A. The at-lazge members shall serve <br />their terms consistent with the City <br />Council resolution concerning term <br />limits for commission members. <br />B. The liaison members shall be <br />nominated by their respective commis- <br />sions for one year terms commencing in <br />January of each yeaz. The terms of of- <br />fice of the two (2) liaison members <br />shall not extend beyond their terms on <br />the commissions they represent. (Ord. <br />1674 § 2, 1996; Prior Code <br />§ 1-3.32.20) <br />2.28.050 Alternate Member: <br />A. The alternate member shall vote <br />in the case of an absence or conflict of <br />interest of any public commissioner. <br />B. The alternate member can serve as <br />27 (Pleasanton 5-99) <br />
